Violent Protests in the Streets of Tehran

Friday marked a long-anticipated Election Day in Iran, and while the voting process itself ran smoothly, violence has since broken out in the streets. Both current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his more moderate challenger Mir-Hossein Mousavi believe that he won the election, and Ahmadinejad is claiming victory. Mousavi supporters, who believe Ahmadinejad rigged the election results, refuse to accept the verdict and are openly protesting.

Video clips that capture the chaos and rioting in the streets in Tehran and other places around Iran are streaming into YouTube
