Project 2059: Envisioning Oregon's Future

In honor of Oregon's 150th birthday, Governor Ted Kulongoski launched an initiative called Oregon 150 to celebrate the state's history and work with Oregonians to envision what a better future might look like. As part of the year's celebrations, the Oregon 150 team partnered up with DemocracyLab and the Chalkboard Project to start a cool video project called "Project 2059", which they describe as an "online think tank" that allows citizens to collectively imagine what Oregon could and should be. The Project invites high school students from around the state to make videos, which are posted to the Oregon 150 YouTube channel. So far, they have 82 videos of different students sharing their thoughts on what life is like in Oregon today and what improvements they would like to see.
