Drunk Dallas Police Officer Fires Weapon in Car

A Dallas police officer is facing up to $4,000 in fines and a year in jail for firing her weapon while drunk, the city's police chief tells reporters. The ordeal was recorded by dashcam videos released by the Dallas Police Department and posted to YouTube by ObserverDallas.

The first clip shows 2 officers escorting an intoxicated 27-year old police officer, Kelly Beemer, to a car, where she's heard sobbing and yelling at her colleague. In the second clip, Beemer can be heard firing a revolver into the right floorboard of her colleague's vehicle.

Read the article. She wasn't under arrest, which is why she hadn't been searched. They were giving her a ride home because she was (obviously) too drunk to drive.
