Lightning Sparks Giant Gas Tank Fire

A lightning strike is blamed for a massive fire that shut down parts of two interstates in North Carolina on Sunday. The lightning struck a gas tank at a facility near I-40 in Greensboro owned by Colonial Pipeline Company. The tank reportedly contained about 20,000 barrels of fuel. It took 150 firefighters several hours to control the fire, which also caused the closure of I-73.
