Ethnic Violence Continues in Kyrgyzstan

Reporters in Kyrgyzstan are witnessing new acts of ethnic violence between Kyrgyz mobs and Uzbek minorities. Video uploaded to YouTube shows the arson attacks (see 1:34) have spread from the city of Osh to Jalalabad, and police officials tell the New York Times the violence was "deliberately organized."

YouTube videos also suggest people are taking advantage of the chaos to loot markets. A citizen reporter claims this video shows armed Kyrgyz men entering a clothing market and stealing merchandise. The user says the market was later set on fire.
