Volunteers Tend to Whale Stranded in Shallow Washington Waters

Volunteers came to the aid of a large gray whale stranded in the shallow waters off the coast of Everett, Washington, today. A National Marine Fisheries Service spokesman said the animal is still alive, but that the outlook wasn't good, according to the Associated Press.
