College Republicans Go Cross-Country

Launched earlier this month by the College Republican National Committee, "Where is the Red?" is a grassroots project dedicated to re-energizing young Republicans about their party and its core values. For the next three months, four college Republicans will travel from coast-to-coast volunteering for various campaigns and seeking to register new GOP voters—without ever stopping in a Democrat controlled (blue) district. The project aims to show the extent and diversity of the Republican party, as well as counter the idea, prevalent in the media, that young people aren’t excited about a John McCain presidency. As one of the "Where is the Red?" volunteers, Jeremy from Oxford, OH explains, “The Democrats have their blocks in the Northeast and some areas out West. But Republicans represent real people all over this country.”
