The Path to Prosperity (Episode 2): Saving Medicare

Over a month ago we featured "The Path to Prosperity", a YouTube video created by Republican Congressman Paul Ryan outlining his vision for our budget. The video, a data-heavy (but still visually engaging) explanation of our budget crisis, went on to viral video success with nearly 200k views. The Congressman is back at it with a second episode of "The Path to Prosperity".

"Ask a Marine" using YouTube and Google Moderator

What happens during the first night at the recruit depot? What are the basic requirements to enlist in the Marine Corps? How do I become a Marine Corps pilot?


Have you ever wondered about these same questions? Do you have others like them?

The United States Marine Corps has taken an innovative approach to connect with their audience-- they've started an "Ask a Marine" series on YouTube, soliciting questions with Google Moderator (they're also accepting questions via Facebook and Twitter). Potential recruits, or just interested people, can ask and vote on questions and the top voted questions will be answered by a marine. Petition for Peace in the Congo

The YouTube creators Falling Whistles recently created an excellent video explaining the history of the Congo and advocating for viewers to sign a petition for peace. The video can be seen below and the petition can be found here.
